Problem - What Problem Does the Feature Solve?

Provides remote monitoring cababilities for potential access by authorized help desk, field service, loss prevention and store managers

Solution - Short Description of How the Feature Works

Management clients use the InSight management API and data model to request device monitoring.  The clients specify the list of devices they want to monitor and whether or not to monitor a single or multiple terminals.  This results in a command being sent to the terminal agent that includes a mask of devices to monitor.  The terminal agent(s) then send "gathered and compressed" device events to the controller agent which forwards them to the clients.  Gathering and compression are features that minimize the number of messages that flow and the amount of data in the messages.
